At Klear Events, we could like to help raise money for these three great charities. Please find some information below about them. Click on the link under each charity to make a donation. It would be great if you could support us with our fundraising!
The British Heart Foundation
My wonderful nephew was born with congenital heart disease and had major heart surgery at just days old. He was whisked away from his mum after just a couple of days of being born and was rushed by 4×4 ambulance in the snow to Glenfield Hospital in Leicester where a talented team of doctors and nurses saved his wonderful life. Both these situations make you realise how vulnerable we are, while at the same time you see the hell they go through and lifesaving decisions friends and loved ones have to make. I also know of two other children through friends that have had to go through this. One is now nearly ten and is such a kind and caring young man. The other is now a few months old and doing very well!
When I was born in the 70’s only one in five children would have survived. Through advancing research currently four out of five children survive this condition! It would be great if we could get this to 100%! With this in mind, I am now going to be raising money for the British Heart Foundation with the money specifically going to the research for Congenital Heart Disease.
There are lots of worthy charities out there but we all have a heart and the valuable research carried not only will save children’s lives but will also help to save adult lives. For more information on this charity click on this link
In a medical emergency, every minute counts in getting that vital first medical support to the patient as quickly as possible. Those first golden minutes can make all the difference to a patient’s life. That’s why our 700+ volunteers give up their spare time to respond to 999 medical emergencies, in their communities, right across greater Lincolnshire. Our responders’ actions save lives; they get there fast to deliver that vital immediate care to their neighbours in those critical first moments before handing over to the ambulance service.
